How many endings are confirmed?

PlayStation’s original interview with series producer Motoi Okamoto and writer-director Jon McKellan confirms three main endings. All three can be reached from the first playthrough. A secret ending becomes accessible after the game has been cleared once.

This page deliberately does not name the endings or invent a trigger checklist. Townfall has not launched, and the developers have not revealed which actions are measured.

How the game chooses an ending

McKellan says the result is not decided by a single binary choice at the finale. Instead, the culmination of the player’s actions across the entire playthrough determines the ending. The intent is for the conclusion to feel connected to the player’s journey.

That structure resembles the original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2 in broad terms. Okamoto says players will not be forced through two or three complete runs merely to make every primary ending available. Availability does not mean one run displays all three; one completed playthrough still reaches one result.

Why some reports say five endings

Several secondary previews report three main and two secret endings, while the accessible PlayStation interview uses the singular phrase “the secret ending.” Because the first-party source is more direct and provides the clearest wording, this wiki reports three main endings plus a secret ending and keeps the conflict visible.
